Team Singha was created as the initial outrigger team when the club formed and is sponsored by the Singha Beer distributor.

Our first race in 2008 was The Northern Alberta Big Boat Regatta where we finished 2nd overall and were the fastest Edmonton team.

After practicing in OC1s we just bought till near the end of October, our next race took us to Las Vegas where in the open mixed division where we placed 6 out of 8. Not bad for our first race ever and having borrowed a steers person and paddler from Lake Havasu City Outrigger Team that we went toe to toe with. We also had front row seats of a huli dockside and were able to get a close up view as did the recovery.
